The process of extracting oil from mustard seed:
1. Drying and cleaning procedure: While harvesting or drying mustard seed, it may contain impurities like sand, soil, stems, and leaves. If these impurities are not effectively treated, they can result in inferior cake quality and lower oil quality. Furthermore, the presence of sand and mechanical impurities in the oil can damage the extraction equipment. Therefore, to ensure smooth production, it is necessary to remove and clean impurities before pressing.

2. Heat treatment of rapeseed: Heat treatment is an effective method to enhance the oil yield of rapeseed and is a crucial step in oil production. Heat treatment involves heating the rapeseed, which is also known as steamed or fried embryos. After heat treatment, the raw rapeseed is sent to the oil pressing equipment, a process known as hot pressing, which increases the oil yield. The quality of heat treatment significantly impacts the oil yield of rapeseed and other oil crops.

3. Oil extraction: Due to the unique shape of rapeseed, the requirements for the screws and pressing chamber differ from other oilseeds during the pressing process. During production, the screws need to have zigzag curves and conical surfaces, which facilitate thorough destruction of rapeseed molecules and maximize oil production.

Therefore, precise temperature control during pressing greatly enhances the efficiency of rapeseed oil extraction. Our factory has developed a simple temperature-controlled oil press, which incorporates a heating tube into the pressing chamber. The pressing process can be accurately controlled through the control panel. With its compact size, it is well-suited for home factories and small to medium-sized oil plants.
